Modjadji Resources

Guidance Documents

Modjadji works with international partners including PHA4GE, WHO, and others to develop technical guidance and methodologies for pathogen surveillance. These documents are live and updated in line with current knowledge and surveillance needs.

Mpox wastewater and case-based surveillance framework

Amplicon Sequencing Schemes

Modjadji maintains an open-source repository of amplicon schemes constructed using PrimalScheme. This library of schemes includes a wide range of pathogens, including Measles, SARS-CoV-2, mpox, and M. tuberculosis.

Wet-lab Protocols

Modjadji researchers are developing state-of-the-art pathogen enrichment, quantification, and sequencing methods and protocols. Selected examples include: Karthikeyan and Levy et al., 2022 , Yousif et al., 2023, Barnes et al., 2023

Computational Tools

Modjadji researchers develop and maintain the Freyja bioinformatic tool, which is used to analyze sequencing of SARS-CoV-2  from wastewater. Freyja is used by leading public health efforts employing wastewater surveillance including CDC NWSS and FDA genometrakr, and is available via bioconda, Docker (via STaPH-B), and github.
